Fanny Guillon-Laffaille has kindly confirmed the authenticity of this work which will be included in her forthcoming supplement to the catalogue raisonné of Watercolors, Gouaches and Pastels currently in preparation.

Executed on cream wove paper. Hinged in three places along the upper edge of the verso. Pinholes in the upper left corner and near the center of the upper edge. The sheet is lightly time-stained. The medium is bright and fresh. The edges are deckled and there are associated minor nicks and repaired tears along all four edges. In the center of the left edge, there is a one-inch long repaired tear. A one-inch long crease across the upper left corner. The work is in good condition.
