FIRST EDITION, 11 pages, large oblong folio (25.5 x 33.4cm), engraved throughout, plate number 207, price apparently erased, ownership inscriptions to title, inserted note in the hand of Albi Rosenthal, unbound, modern fitted folder, some light damp-staining to title 

Die Sehnsucht ("Ach, aus dieses Tales Gründen"), with verses by Friedrich Schiller, is believed to have been composed in early 1821, but was not published until 1826. It is one of Schubert’s lesser-known great songs.
