Donated by Contini Art Gallery and artist Park Eun Sun.

Park's work, respecting the nature of the composition material, appears as a chain of polished and two-colored geometric shapes that seem to extend beyond, whirling on themselves like energetic and unstoppable spirals. His sculptures are characterized by a linear and structured abstraction, and then blossom into representations that refer to a vital imagination as if they were streams of DNA that turned into a metaphorical synthesis that embodies the continuous flow of life. The predilection for unusual harmonies and balances generates masterpieces that combine refinement and composure but also sinuosity and dynamism. Conceived in an alternation of pink and white marble, this sculpture extends upwards in a spiral that symbolizes a perpetual motion that seems to refuse to stop. The sculptures, also appear to be inspired by the concept of evolution, duplicating and unwinding into spherical volumes charged with an energy bent on transmutation. The harmony of colors and shapes is accentuated by unusual balances, apparently unstable and unreal but at the same time solid and firmly anchored, as if they were born from the earth, extending into space, involving human beings and their lives and dragging them with soft lightness towards the sky, precisely, into infinity. The intersecting forms, sinuous or soaring, the voids and solids that compose the structure of the work, the multiple and alternating colors, the game of shadow and light, the balance and instability, the composure and asymmetry, the rational and the infinite: all these aspects demonstrate how Park Eun Sun's art appears to be in a constant dualism that does not celebrate opposites, but rather merges them together, underlining how constantly evolving dichotomies characterize art, existence and humankind.
