Tomi Ungerer was very well known, publishing over one hundred books. Ungerer received the international Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1998 for his lasting contribution as a children's illustrator. He did not design many film posters, and is best known for designing the posters for Dr. Strangelove. The titles for this film were also illustrated by Ungerer.

This film by D.A. Pennebaker documents the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival. This fantastic pre-Woodstock festival hosted so many great performers, including Big Brother and the Holding Company (with Janis Joplin), Jefferson Airplane, Hugh Masekela, Otis Redding, Ravi Shankar, the Mamas & the Papas, The Who, and The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
