This science fiction film was directed by Wim Wenders. The film stars William Hurt, Solveig Dommartin, and Sam Neill. The film is set in the future in the year 1999 and tells the story of a woman whose life changes forever when she is involved in a car crash with some robbers, which she survives. She becomes entangled with fugitives, and—on the run from the bank robbers, the CIA, and others—travels the globe with one such fugitive, who is trying to keep hold of a device that his father invented to record dreams and visions.
