S otheby’s Wine is pleased to present an important tasting of top Bordeaux from the landmark 2009 and 2010 vintages. On release 2009 was heralded as the greatest Bordeaux vintage since 1982, and produced wines of immense succulence and generosity. The 2010s, meanwhile, are more structured with excellent purity and freshness.
Ever since the earliest tastings of the 2010s, wine lovers have argued about which is the superior vintage of the two. In this tasting, we will enjoy some of the best wines of the two vintages, comparing and contrasting the two years, and checking in on how the wines are developing in bottle.
