The Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture department is now seeking consignments for our Spring 2017 auctions of American Art and Impressionist & Modern Art. To receive a complimentary auction estimate, just email PaintingsNY@sothebys.com with the following information:
1) Your complete contact information:
-Name, address, phone number and email address
2) Image(s) of your work sent as attachments (smartphone shots are fine) including the following (or, as many of the below as possible):
-The entire work (with edges showing)
-The signature (if visible)
-The back (with any labels, inscriptions showing)
3) A brief description of your work:
-Name of artist
-Medium/support (such as oil on canvas, watercolor on paper, etc.)
-Dimensions without frame in inches (height by width)
-Provenance (how you acquired the work and as much as you can tell us about prior ownership)
