Gossip Girl Star Kelly Rutherford Drops Into Sotheby’s on Birthday Weekend

NEW YORK – Kelly Rutherford has been snapped wearing the Sky Blue Diamond, which features in the Magnificient Jewels and Nobel Jewels sale in Geneva on 16 November.

The former Gossip Girl star shared the photographs with her fans on Instagram following a recent visit to Sotheby’s in New York, telling her followers:  “What a way to spend my birthday weekend”

She was also pictured in front of Ed Ruscha’s Mirror-Image Level (Estimate $3,000,000–4,000,000), which features in the Contemporary Art Evening Auction in New York on 17 November.

During her visit Kelly met David Bennett, Worldwide Chairman of Sotheby's International Jewellery Division.

Speaking recently about the Sky Blue Diamond (Estimate 14,760,000–24,590,000 CHF), David said: "The Sky Blue Diamond is of a wonderfully clear celestial blue, presented in an extremely elegant square emerald cut - perhaps the most flattering of all the styles of cutting for a coloured diamond. This important gem will, I am sure, captivate all collectors of exceptional gemstones."
