An Eye for Cufflinks: Huntsman’s Campbell Carey’s Ballyedmond II Highlights

By Sotheby's

The Ballyedmond Collection Part II: Gentlemen’s Accessories online sale features a selection of elegant gentlemen’s dressing accessories assembled by discerning collector Lord Ballyedmond. To coincide with the sale, we asked Campbell Carey, Creative Director at Huntsman, to select his personal favourites from the collection. He told us: “I’d advise our clients to wear cufflinks anytime when wearing a formal lounge suit or blazer. They’re a subtle way to key in accessories of tie, pocket square or watch and they add such a personal touch to the uniformity of a formal suit.” Take a look below at his selections from the sale.

ONYX DRESS SET AND TWO PAIRS OF ONYX AND DIAMOND CUFFLINKS. ESTIMATE £300–500.

Campbell Carey: These are probably the most versatile from the whole collection. The onyx and diamond are a perfect pairing for our exclusive midnight blue mohair and wool barathea dinner suiting, along with our Marcella fronted shirt- an ideal combination for any formal wear occasion.

PAIR OF LAPIS LAZULI AND DIAMOND CUFFLINKS, BOUCHERON. ESTIMATE £400–600.

Campbell Carey: This is a fine example of how mismatching spots and stipend can work really well - paired here with our slate grey house mohair suiting.

PAIR OF RUBY AND DIAMOND CUFFLINKS. ESTIMATE £800–1,200.

Campbell Carey: These beautiful ruby and diamond cufflinks are brought to life with our Sportex cloth. One can see here that red and pink always look stronger when blue is put alongside them.

The Ballyedmond Collection Part II: Gentlemen’s Accessories online sale is on until 5 June.
