Schlichtegroll's important obituary of Mozart, contained in the second volume between pp.82 and 112, is the first substantial biographical essay on the composer and was based largely on the testimonies of the Salzburg Court Trumpeter J.A. Schachtner and Mozart's sister Nannerl.
