a fair-copy manuscript of a complete vocal work, SIGNED BY VIARDOT in the inner margin of the first page ("Pauline Viardot"), scored for voice and piano, notated in brown ink on up to four three-stave systems per page, the text commencing "Al tiempo q.e el sol esconde", the title and authorship inscriptions at the head ("Romance Arabe Manuel Garcia") also in Viardot's hand

A manuscript of a complete musical work, uniting the tenor and composer Manuel García (1775-1832) and his even more celebrated daughter, Pauline Viardot (1821-1910) - not only one of the greatest singers of the nineteenth century, but also a noted composer (Liszt admired her songs and called her the first woman composer of genius).
