4to (193 x 134mm.), title printed in red and black, woodcut illustration of the ship of fools on title-page, numerous woodcut illustrations, woodcut printer's device below colophon, early nineteenth-century calf-backed marbled boards, spine gilt in compartments, a few wormholes in text
The entertaining woodblocks were previously used in the 1494 and 1497 editions printed by Johann Bergmann de Olpe.
