4to (23.5 x 16.8cm), title within an architectural engraved border, woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces, 1 engraved plate, engraved illustrations, engraved portrait of the author, type-set music, Dolmetsch Library stamp and pencil shelfmark ("II B 12") to verso of title-page, contemporary vellum, title-page border slightly shaved, some browning and foxing, plate on p.189 poorly inked at head
