2 parts (Greek and Latin), 8vo (161 x 93mm.), woodcut Aldine device on title-page and final verso (otherwise blank), text in italics, later tree calf, lower margin of B4 restored, inscriptions and annotations washed, small adhesive label to spine


The first separate Aldine edition of Herodian, with the Latin translation of Poliziano. This was previously included in the Aldine folio edition of Xenophon in 1503.
