Εργα και ημεραι. Θεογονια. Ασπις Ηρακλεους... Opera et dies; Theogonia. Scutum Herculis. (Venice: Giovanni Francesco Trincavalli for Bartolomeo Zanetti, June 1537)

4to (208 x 153mm.), woodcut printer's device on title-page, an additional leaf containing an early Greek manuscript poem bound after title-page, woodcut initials and headpieces (some printed in red), woodcut illustrations on ξ8v, 5 leaves of early manuscript in Greek bound at end, later calf, gilt and gauffered edges from previous binding, small area of damage to head of title-page (affecting first word of title) and first few leaves, light staining towards end

The manuscript leaves at the end contain the scholia on the Shield of Hercules by Joannes Diaconus Pediasimus (?1240-131[-]); these leaves also have the gauffered edges so were part of the volume from an early date.
