The sale also includes a selection of jewels by notable 20th century designers Grima, Pol Bury and Mosheh Oved as well as pieces by Van Cleef, Bulgari and Boucheron, and an eclectic mix of jewels from the Edwardian and Art Deco periods.
The Fine Jewels sale exceeded pre-sale expectations achieving £2.7 million seeing 72.3% of lots sold. With An array of stylish retro pieces by Cartier London from the 1940s and 50s feature in this autumn sale, the sale was driven by competition from a broad spectrum of international buyers.
The sale was led by a Ruby and diamond bracelet from Chopard, which sold for £75,000 (est. £45,000-65,000). Other highlights included a Cartier citrine and diamond bracelet from 1940s selling for £43,750 (est. £20,000-30,000).
