Description

Of scrolled foliate design set with circular-cut, rose and cushion-shaped diamonds, to a foliate diamond surmount, French assay mark, fitted case.

Condition

French assay mark for 18 carat gold to reverse of brooch near pendant fitting. Diamonds bright and lively, central diamond measuring approximately 7.3 x 6.5 x 3.9mm, calculated to weigh approximately 1.43 carats. Largest four diamonds estimated to be G-H colour, VS on average, one I clarity. Estimated total diamond weight, including all diamonds, approximately 6.00 - 8.00 carats. Overall dimensions approximately 82 x 41mm. Scratches and discolouration to metal surfaces consistent with age and wear. Some small traces of solder to reverse. Brooch and pendant fittings secure, possibly of slightly later date. In good condition. Accompanied by fitted case from Th. Bourdier Joaillier, Paris.
