Modelled as a dragonfly, the pierced wings set with rose diamonds, to a cushion-shaped emerald tail and circular-cut ruby eyes, French assay and maker's mark.

Condition

Stamped with French assay mark for 18 carat gold and maker's mark ET on brooch fitting. Emeralds are green, some slightly lighter, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye and under magnification, some more included than others, some surface reaching. Numerous chips and rubbed areas. Rubies with tiny chips and typical inclusions. Diamonds are bright and lively. Mount with normal signs of wear commensurate with age, surface scratches and small pits mainly seen at the reverse. Discolouration. Fitting can be turned around, however it has not been taken off. Overall condition good. Length approximately 49mm.
