How a Jackson Pollock Photograph Inspired Peter Doig

In one of his most important paintings, Peter Doig pays homage to his Abstract Expressionist forebears, most notably, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Barnet Newman. ‘Daytime Astronomy (Grasshopper)’ is a highlight of our upcoming Contemporary Art Evening Auction (26 June, London).
