Sotheby's and Yale School of Art announce Benefit Auction to support Art Education

15 MAY | NEW YORK

What happens when one of the world’s most historic auction houses joins forces with one of the most influential art schools in America? This May, Sotheby's and Yale School of Art present a landmark benefit auction during The New York Sales—bringing together donated works from celebrated artists, alumni, collectors, and galleries to support the future of art education. More than a sale, this is an investment in the next generation of creative voices.

Featuring works by names such as Josef Albers, Howardena Pindell, Richard Prince, Do Ho Suh, and Mickalene Thomas, all proceeds will benefit scholarship endowment funds designed to expand access and reduce student debt for MFA candidates. In a market often focused on price, this auction tells a different story: art creating opportunity, legacy creating access, and collecting becoming a force for cultural progress. The Contemporary Day Auction will be taking place 15 May in New York presented by CELINE.
