Sotheby's Books & Manuscripts sale on 4 December begins with a selection of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts including a ninth-century leaf and two fine miniatures by the Master of the Houghton Miniatures. Its Continental & Russian Books & Manuscripts part features a collection of fine bindings including some made for De Thou, Fabri de Peiresc, Lamoignon and others, as well as a beautiful set of La Fontaine’s Fables in red morocco by Derome.
