ESTIMATE $3,000 - 5,000 USD

Released in November, 1986, “Licensed to Ill” became one of the best-selling debuts in the history of Columbia Records and was the first Rap album to top the Billboard chart. BPI 1987 Gold Sales Award presented to Michael Diamond for the 1986 Beastie Boys album "Licensed to Ill"

ESTIMATE $2,000 - 3,000

The album that helped introduce Rap to a UK audience, its popularity was partly fueled by a raucous tour that made the band tabloid staples. The press covered their boisterous, beer-spraying onstage antics with the same "concern" as they had for Punk concerts a decade earlier. Sales went up accordingly.
