25 January 2021 • 5:00 PM EST • New York
Join us for the worldwide virtual premiere of the short film The Eye of the Beholder, created in collaboration with renowned artist and photographer Erik Madigan Heck. The film captures Heck’s first encounter with Botticelli’s Portrait of a Young Man Holding a Roundel, as well as a conversation with Christopher Apostle, Head of Department, Old Master Paintings, New York. Inspired by this extraordinary portrait, Heck will share how Botticelli and the innovations of the Renaissance influence his own work, a multimedia practice of painting, photography, music and more.
