The Artists Among Us brings together original works by employees from across Sotheby's global community, offering a rare opportunity to encounter the artistic practices of the colleagues who shape the company every day.
Working across painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, printmaking, mixed media, and other disciplines, participating artists include specialists, registrars, engineers, art handlers, security officers, client service teams, administrators, and colleagues from across the business. The exhibitions reveal a creative community whose artistic lives extend beyond their professional roles.
This summer, The Artists Among Us has been presented across Paris, London, and New York, beginning in Paris in July and continuing with exhibitions in London and New York in August. Participating artists retain 80% of the sale price of each work, while the remaining 20% supports a local nonprofit partner in each city.
In Paris, proceeds benefited L’Armée du Salut, which provides housing, emergency assistance, and social services to individuals and families experiencing hardship. In London, proceeds support Create Arts, which engages some of the UK’s most marginalized communities through inspiring and sustainable arts programs. In New York, proceeds benefit Red Hook Art Project, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit that empowers young people through free visual arts education, mentorship, and community programming.
The exhibition is now closed, but for additional information, please contact:
