This photograph was taken in Noisy-le-Sec, in the suburbs of Paris. The baby is in fact a giant synthetic-resin doll, weighing 600 kg and standing 5.40 m tall, overlooking the roof of an Esso gas station on Route Nationale 3.
It was designed by the renowned French designer Philippe Starck for a Paris toy store that has since closed down.
