- Rubies
There are 114 rubies set on this marvelous bracelet. A sampling of 20 stones has been analysed ; all of these ones come from Burma and there is no indication of treatment. Myanmar (formerly Burma) has the most famous deposits for rubies.
- The baguette diamond
This cut became extremely popular in 1920’s because it fit perfectly with Art Deco style. All the greatest Jewellery houses used this cut for their creations.
- Platinum
In 1920’s and 1930’s, a large majority of the jewels was made of platinum. In 1924, a very large mine of platinum was discovered in South of Africa. This white precious metal perfectly matches with the Art Deco style.
- The cuff bracelet
The cuff bracelet was very fashionable in 1930’s. In 1926 and 1928, Daisy Fellowes, the famous socialite, ordered two emerald and diamond cuff bracelets from Van Cleef & Arpels.
