S otheby’s is proud to partner with Every Mother Counts (EMC), a nonprofit organization working to make pregnancy and childbirth equitable, safe and respectful for every mother, everywhere, for the second year. This year’s auction will open on Tuesday November 30th, Giving Tuesday, and conclude on December 10th and will feature 47 fabulous lots including travel, photography, fine jewelry, and home décor. 100% of funds raised will benefit Every Mother Counts in support of their ongoing efforts to improve birth outcomes for mothers and babies.
EMC was founded by Christy Turlington Burns in 2010 following pregnancy-related complications after giving birth to her daughter and following the completion of her first documentary film, No Woman, No Cry, which focuses on global maternal health challenges and solutions. To-date, EMC has invested over $21 million in programs in Africa, Latin America, South Asia and the United States.
