ArtCrush 2021: Art Auction to Benefit the Aspen Art Museum 26 July–6 August 2021 • 12:00 PM EDT • New York

S otheby’s is honored to host the iconic ArtCrush 2021 auction to benefit the Aspen Art Museum, online for the first time.

ArtCrush is back as an in-person event in Aspen, running August 4-6, and culminating in the Aspen Art Museum’s annual summer gala, co-chaired by Amy Phelan and Jamie Tisch.

The ArtCrush 2021 auction includes a curated selection of over 45 exceptional works by some of the most exciting artists working today. Lots range from $6,000 to over $300,000 and include painting, sculpture, ceramics, weaving, photography, work on paper and design art. Ten lots will form part of a live auction during the Aspen Art Museum’s summer gala on August 6 at 8 PM M.T. Absentee and phone bids can be submitted via bid@aspenartmuseum.org.

All the works have been donated to the museum by a group of incredibly generous artists and galleries, in support of the museum’s artistic and educational programs, and will be on view at the Aspen Art Museum July 27 – August 5.

The Aspen Art Museum is a non-collecting institution presenting the newest, most important evolutions in international contemporary art. Innovative and timely exhibitions, education and public programs, immersive activities, and community happenings actively engage audiences in thought-provoking experiences of art, culture, and society.

Throughout its history, the Aspen Art Museum (AAM) has focused on serving K-12 students and teachers, youth and families, working adults and community -based organizations. As the only art museum on the Western Slope accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the AAM provides critical access to art. A broad range of programs occurs both in the museum and throughout the community, providing the opportunity for audiences to see and respond to contemporary art through hands-on workshops, artist-led projects, gallery talks and tours, lectures and innovative activities related to current exhibitions.
