Alannah Farrell is a queer, trans painter who lives and works in New York. They received their BFA from the Cooper Union in 2011 and have exhibited their work at The Painting Center, New York; Theirry Goldberg Gallery, New York; and UTA Artist Space, Los Angeles. Farrell’s practice is focused on the meditative exploration of the figurative tradition. Soft, repetitive brushwork acts as a vehicle for Farrell to portray their community with a complex tenderness. Each sensitive portrait investigates deep psychological questions and the alienation, anxieties and violences of modern queer life.

Alyssa Klauer is a painter based between New Haven, Connecticut and Brooklyn, New York. She received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and her MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Klauer’s work references “Queer Time,” or the idea that queer individuals often experience a delayed, second adolescence when coming out later in life. Her paintings capture the desire to repossess the memories of a hetero-temporal childhood, the precarity of a foreshortened future and the beauty of queer rebirth.

Eve Ackroyd studied painting at Chelsea College of Art &amp; Weissensee School of Art in Berlin and currently lives and works in London. Ackroyd pulls inspiration from her recollections of women from her youth and often paints her subjects in soft fields of color. Carefully choreographed distortions of body and space inform these personal and emotional portraits. Often avoiding male figures, the pictures present a new perspective on beauty and pleasure from the artist's memory.
