ingot form, all sides decorated with architectural elements in engraved gold and figures, rockery, classical ruins and a boating scene in translucent amber enamel, under an opaque blue enamel sky scattered with purple clouds, framed by translucent green enamel leaf and red bead borders and white enamel rims, gem-set enamelled thumbpiece, Hanau maker's mark FC, Hanau rosette mark to lid, the base with later French prestige marks including maker's mark purporting to be that of Joseph-Etienne Blerzy, two different charge marks, the right numbered: 55, later French hibou control marks,
