Description

oblong on five ball feet decorated with enamelled leaves, the base applied with ruby cabochon flowers, the body forming a tabernacle with lapis-lazuli columns, in the centre with a repoussé silver plaque depicting Raphael's Marriage of the Virgin, the top in a semicircle with the dates "MDCCCLXVIII-22 APRILE - MDCCCXCIII‘, surmounted by a cloud of cherubs supporting the royal coat-of-arms of the House of Savoy on a colored glass background, with the motto “FERT” four times, the border decorated with openwork vine branches, cherubs and putti heads, signed on the reverse ’Eug. Bellosio fece Milano 93‘, in an iron case decorated with the initials “M” and ’U" surmounted by a royal crown, flanked by the coat of arms of the House of Savoy, inside a silver plaque with the list of donors
