Acquired directly from the artist by Mr Antonio Ferreira da Rocha, Sri Lanka, 1968

Antonio Ferreira da Rocha served as Chargé d’Affaires of the Brazilian Diplomatic Mission in Ceylon during the 1960s. While posted in Colombo in 1966, he was introduced to the work of George Keyt. A subsequent meeting with the artist at the Brazilian Embassy marked the beginning of a lasting friendship, founded on shared interests in literature, religion, art and Latin America.
