rectangular, the lid set with a rectangular enamel plaque of a young blond lady with pearl hair pin and costume dress playing the harp, the male listener next to her in full armour with a white collar, attributed to Franz Linck, flanked by chased scrollwork interlaced with serpents on a sablé ground, lapis-lazuli coloured outer enamel rims, the sides and base similarly decorated around central engine-turned panels, maker's mark MM conjoined incuse, small trefoil mark struck twice
