This is the best still on the film as it shows the words 'Love' and 'Hate' tattooed on the fingers of Robert Mitchum.

The Night of the Hunter is a classic film noir, directed by Charles Laughton and starring Robert Mitchum, Shelley Winters and Lillian Gish. Mitchum brilliantly plays Harry Powell, a conman and murderer. It is easy to see why he was later chosen to play Max Cady in Cape Fear (1962).
