Apollo Driving the Chariot of the Sun

Pen and brown ink and gray-brown wash, heightened with white, on paper washed light brown

214 by 311 mm; 8⅜ by 12¼ in.

Laid down on a light board the drawing is in very good condition. A small crack to the right margin. Little foxing toward the top and right and left margins and very small abrasion on the cloud to the left . Very little oxidisation in some places. Overall is fresh and the ink and white heightening strong. It seem also that no changes have occurred on the preparation of the paper. The drawing is sold mounted and in a modern gilded frame.
