4to (235 x 163mm.), 260 leaves, A10 B-C8 a-y8 (1-6)8 (7)10, double column, 37 lines plus headline, gothic type, three illuminated initials on a1r, a6r and p8r, other initials in red and blue with penwork decoration, red and blue paraphs, capitals filled with yellow, early manuscript foliation (also added to the table at the end), modern tan calf with blind-tooled fleurons at corners and on spine, occasional light foxing and damp-staining, spine slightly darkened
One of six books printed by Franz Renner and the Hungarian Petrus de Bartua between 1477 and 1479. This is the second Venetian edition, following that printed by Renner and Nikolaus of Frankfurt in 1476, of this biblical dictionary produced at the end of the fourteenth century by the Franciscan Marchesini, in which he describes the significance, etymology, pronunciation, accents and morphology of the difficult words contained in the Bible.
