with a broad lower bulb supporting a smaller bulb, each decorated on a white ground with wide continuous bands of scrolling gourd borne on a foliate stem, the double gourd shaped medallions enclosing the characters daji in red

Height 27 cm, 10¾ in. 

the vase has a circa 7cm., hairline rim crack extending down onto the shoulder with two areas of restoration extending half way around the base of the neck, minor glaze firing imperfections, a glaze flake to the upper bulb and light rubbing to the iron-red decoration.
