A blue and white moon flask
the flattened globular body rising from a spreading quatre-lobed foot to a waisted neck with tapering conical mouth supported by a pair of ruyi handles, moulded to the centre of each side with a concave medallion enclosing a hare encircled by lotus lappet and lotus scroll bands, the neck with a stiff leaf band below ruyi and key-fret bands at the mouth
Height 24.5 cm, 9½ in.
The flask has over-painting to one side of the foot extending circa 4cm., up into the lower body, over-painting encircling the rim and extending to a maximum of 3cm., down the neck, the body has a slight lean and several minor glaze firing imperfections.
