the Buddhist seated on a celadon and biscuit rockwork base mounted with rococo style gilt-bronze mounts


24.5cm. high, 23.5cm. wide; 9½in., 9¼in.

In overall good condition. The porcelain not examined under UV light. With minor craquelure, rubbing and scratches consistent with age and use. The porcelain base on which the figure is seating is probably associated.

The gilt-bronze mounts with very minor tarnishing and with some missing leaves to the branches on the front and back as should be visible in the catalogue image. There are some signs of restorations to one side of the base and to one branch.
