ARTHUR BOYD

1920-1999

COCKATOOS & HILLSIDE SHOALHAVEN RIVER NEW SOUTH WALES

signed

oil on panel

30 by 20cm.; 11¾ by 8in.

Executed circa 1982.

Condition Report

The panel appears to be sound, but is closely framed and also adhered to the mount. There are some tiny nicks and flecks of loss to the extreme edges and corners in places, largely only visible upon close inspection. There is also one historic chip to the panel in the extreme upper left corner, this is almost certainly in keeping with the Artist's intentions. There is some very light surface dirt and some evidence of studio matter. This excepting the work appears to be in excellent overall condition.

Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of retouching.

The work is held within a simple gilded frame, which is in turn held on a linen mount within a further gilded frame.
