Condition

Night : Very good condition. Day : - slightly warping sheet and slightly warn - a few foxing spots scattered on the surface - minor piece of paper missing in the upper right corner - two minor pin holes appear on the upper border Good overall condition.

Fellow student to Seurat and student to Lehmann, Aman-Jean was very close to Osbert (see lots 139, 148 and 165). He uses pastel in a very personal fashion : first, laying down the color, then contouring certain areas that he finally shades off in order to unify the composition.
