On 27 June Sotheby’s Zurich will proudly present its traditional Swiss Art / Swiss Made auction. There will be a large selection of quality paintings, works on paper, sculptures, prints, furniture and design from renowned Swiss artists ranging from the 19th century through to the present day.
This sale brings together a wonderful blend of traditional and modern Swiss artworks and artists while celebrating a diverse range of techniques and approaches. The works on offer include pieces by seminal-artists including Albert Anker, Alexandre Calame and François Bocion.
Also featured are pieces from the Classical Modernist Era by Cuno Amiet, Augusto and Giovanni Giacometti and other key artists from the Swiss Avant-Garde at the start of the 20th century. The top lot of the sale is Félix Vallotton’s rare and important masterpiece La Néva, brume légère. In addition we are delighted to offer a prestigious private collection of works by the École de Savièse, led by Ernest Biéler’s masterpiece Trois jeunes filles.
