The present work depicts Mrs. Geissler, a relative of Albert Anker's, in her kitchen leaning over a steaming pot. There are two existing paintings with the same subject.
 
Dargestellt ist die Mutter Geissler, eine Verwandte von Albert Anker, die in der Küche über dem dampfenden Kessel ihre Hände wärmt.
Zu diesem wunderbaren Aquarell gibt es zwei Gemälde von Anker mit demselben Thema.

Condition

Minuscule scuff along the upper edge mostly visible in the middle. Very small foxing marks in the lower left corner. Mint condition.
