Tour the Galleries of the Hong Kong Spring Sales

H ong Kong Spring Auctions week is here, and Sotheby’s specialists are eager to be your guides throughout the impressive lineup of sales. We present two private tours of the exhibition on view at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Beginning 16 April, discover exceptional paintings from our marquee evening auctions in an exclusive tour, with a special introduction led by Elaine Ng, editor and publisher of ArtAsiaPacific. This page will update again on 17 April with a look into Sotheby's cross-category luxury emporium experience, with Nathan Drahi, Sotheby's Asia Commercial Officer, as host of the exclusive showcase. a private view of the spectacular lineup of works which will go under the hammer this season. Ahead of the week, guests were invited to a private preview of the exhibition on the opening evening, presented in partnership with American Express Centurion.

Sotheby’s auctions celebrate the traditions and innovations of art history. Elaine Ng of ArtAsiaPacific begins the journey with an introduction, followed by a discussion with Sotheby's own Nicolas Chow, Felix Kwok, and Yuki Terase in a guided tour of major works from the week's fine art auctions. Highlights of the auctions take us through masterpieces from across the centuries, with a look at the works of artists hailing from Asia, Europe, and North American – include a moving self portrait by Zhang Daqian with a beloved pet, important post-war works by Pablo Picasso and Sanyu that in juxtaposition tell the story of modern art in Asia, and a majestic late work from Clyfford Still’s Maryland period.
