T he inaugural Singapore Collector's Edit—now on through 28 October—features 36 extraordinary handbags from Hermès and Chanel that combine superfine materials with limited-production rarity.
Our specialists worked with Nina Kaginda, an entrepreneur and influencer whose own collection of Hermès handbags would turn any collector green with envy. Kaginda lent her keen eye and style expertise to the sale, curating her selection of luxurious and limited edition, special order, and in-demand color palette bags for the sale.
For this week's Shortlist, we asked her one more favor: can you choose 6 of your favorites? She kindly obliged. Below find Nina Kaginda's highlights and why she chose them—you can bid on all of them now.
Crocodile So Black Kelly
"So Black goes far beyond being simply a black Hermès bag. Everything, from the leather and black PVD hardware to the dust bag, is rendered in black. The result is a completely monochromatic aesthetic that creates a dramatic look. In matte crocodile, this effect becomes even more striking, as the leather absorbs light while the scales provide depth and dimension without interrupting the all-black silhouette."
Kelly Dolls
"To the untrained eye, the two Kelly Dolls may appear similar. To a collector, they tell a story of the model's evolution.
The Orange Kelly Doll is particularly significant as it represents one of the earlier iterations crafted in the now-discontinued Gulliver leather, while the Etoupe and Black HSS Kelly Doll demonstrates the exclusivity of the HSS program. It's unlikely you'll encounter another bag with these exact specifications.
From the original production pieces to highly personalized special orders, together, they illustrate how the Kelly Doll has transformed over time."
Lizard Birkin
"Often compared to the iconic Himalayan design, the Ombre Lizard is considered one of the rarest Birkins thanks to its challenging exotic skin.
Distinguished by their natural white rings on a gray background that fades into white arches, each handbag is crafted from one single skin, making it most commonly used on smaller sized bags. First introduced in 2007, the hides' rarity, natural beauty and exceptional craftsmanship have cemented its place as one of the most sought-after materials among Hermès collectors."
Birkin en Desordre
"The Birkin en Desordre is a perfect example of Hermès reimagining one of its most iconic designs through an unconventional lens.
En Desordre deconstructs familiar Birkin elements and rearranges them in an intentionally asymmetrical composition, creating a bag that feels both whimsical and highly sophisticated.
At first glance, the bag appears almost black, but on closer inspection the deep blue tones begin to emerge, revealing the subtle interplay between Togo and Swift leather. The result is a versatile interpretation of a limited-edition design, offering individuality without sacrificing wearability."
Mini Kelly
"The Mini Kelly is one of the most sought-after Hermès handbag model, and Epsom leather remains one of the most popular choices among collectors. Not only does Epsom help the bag maintain its structured shape, but it is also more resistant to scratches and daily wear than many other Hermès leathers, making it especially practical despite its delicate size. Mauve Sylvestre is a beautiful pink shade with subtle purple undertones that is highly popular amongst collectors. The combination of the highly coveted Mini Kelly 20, durable Epsom leather and the sought-after Mauve Sylvestre color makes this a particularly attractive piece for collectors. Produced in 2026 in like-new condition, it offers the rare opportunity to acquire one of Hermès’ most desirable contemporary bags in an exceptional color, condition and model."
