Burgundy connoisseurs will delight in the opportunity to acquire rarely seen original wooden assortment cases from Domaine Prieuré Roch, the eponymously named domaine established by Henry-Frédéric Roch, the late co-director of Domaine de la Romanée Conti.
The two cases on offer here boast special provenance — the cellar of John Otterbeck. In 2007, John and his wife, Dominique, met with Henry-Frédéric Roch, and agreed to reintroduce the wines of Domaine Prieuré Roch into the U.S. market. They imported only 50 individually marked cases of the 2005 vintage, each having its certificate of authenticity signed by Henry-Frédéric Roch. Only the 4 Clos were included: Bèze, Vougeot, Corvées, and Goillotte.
