Jessica Koers, an internationally renowned and experienced jewelry specialist joins Sotheby’s as per 1 February 2025. Jessica shall take up the role of Senior Jewelry Specialist EMEA with Sotheby’s Amsterdam. She joins Sotheby’s from Christie’s where she was a key member of the international jewelry team.
Jessica graduated as art historian from Leiden University with renaissance jewelry as specialty. With over 25 years of experience in the jewelry and luxury goods industry, Jessica is a distinguished gemmologist and jewelry historian. She is renowned for her taste and keen eye for quality. Highlights in her career include the sourcing of rare and exceptional pieces including royal jewels, such as Le Grand Mazarin diamond.
Beyond jewelry, Jessica’s expertise extends into other luxury categories, including watches and handbags. Jessica also contributes to meaningful charitable projects, including the Couture for Change sale (2020) and the Plastic Soup exhibition (2018).
As an international lecturer, Jessica shares her profound knowledge across various European museums and institutions.
