Leading the auction is monochrome, which presents 35 lots of exceptional Chinese artworks characterised by their timeless aesthetic and exemplifying the most refined sensibilities. Leading the sale is a fine Ru-type hexagonal vase of the Qianlong period, from the personal collection of Robin Woodhead, former CEO and Chairman of Sotheby's. Other highlights include a well-published archaic bronze ritual wine vessel and cover from the early Western Zhou dynasty, and a rare and important Buddhist sandstone stele from the Eastern Wei dynasty.
