eighteen volumes in three, large 8vo (23.6 x 17.6cm), engraved throughout, plate numbers 1-12 and 19-24, gilt edges, ownership label to front pastedowns and upper cover of one volume ("Edward Wrey Whinfield"), gilt lettering to upper covers ("Miss E. Wilbraham"), contemporary straight-grained navy morocco gilt, trimmed by the binder, two volumes splitting at upper hinge, binding rubbed


Between 1807 and 1809 two Italian musicians working in London, Francesco Cianchettini and Sperati published 27 score editions of symphonies by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. Present here are all 18 symphonies by Haydn in the series.
