Paris: Brunet, 1775-1783, 4 volumes, 8vo, engraved frontispiece portrait, 24+22+24+22 engraved plates, with blank leaf M6 in vol.3, half-title in vol.4, contemporary marbled calf gilt, flat spines gilt with morocco lettering-pieces, gilt edges, in two later marbled slipcases


TORQUATO TASSO. Jérusalem delivrée... nouvelle traduction. Paris: Musier Fils, 1774, 2 volumes, 8vo, half-titles, engraved frontispiece portrait in each volume, engraved title-pages, 20 engraved plates, each engraved vignette (except two) with an additional state of the print, later red morocco gilt by Allô-Carayon, green morocco doublures, gilt edges, slipcases, lower corner of p.303 in vol.2 torn

This copy of Voltaire, based on the Didot edition of 1795, contains additional engravings, including a set which seem to be smaller landscape versions of the Gravelot plates in the 1762 Geneva edition of La Pucelle.
